Let me say from the start..... I am a huge Stephen King fan. At least as far as his books go. I do however think that most of the movies, made from his books, leave a lot to be desired. I can only think of a handful of them, that don't fall into this category. I could tell you which ones right now. But that would be taking work away from myself.... LOL

This movie starts off with an aging, used to be, top of the heap tabloid writer, Richard Dees (Miguel Ferrer) arguing with his publisher about what Dees feels is a go nowhere story. After some research into some mysterious, and hideous murders taking place in small airports. By a Villian know only as the Night Flier (Michael H. Moss) And some Strong "Encouragement" from his boss. That this is the biggest story that has ever fallen into the papers lap. Richard Dees decides to go ahead and take on the story.

Unbeknowst to him, the powers that be for the tabloid. Have also recruited Jimmy Blair (Julie Entwisle) to back him up just in case he decides to back out of the story. When the two come together, there is instant friction when they discover they have both been assigned to the same story.

The backstabbing between the two, help the story along. While at the surface they appear to be helping each other. This couldn't be further from the truth. As they do everything they can think of, to mislead one another from grisly murder to grisly murder.

The Gore is really good in this movie. And I love it at the very end when we see that the new, has take a page out of the old veterans workbook, and makes it work to her advantage. (You have learned well Grasshopper) The acting wasn't great in this movie, but they made it work.

Like I said at the start of this review. In my opinion, most King movies don't cut it for me...

This one did. It gets a Thumb Up.
