This Bulk of this Movie takes place through the lens of a video camera. Much like another movie near and dear to our Site Owners heart. But that is another story, for another time.

Being recorded by a friend. We start off at a farwell party given by a group of friends (Marlena, Lily, Hud and Jason.) Saying goodbye to one of the group (Robert Hawkins) who is leaving the Country. But when the Building starts shaking. Things start going from good to bad, almost immediately.
We then discover, after a short period of thinking this was an Earthquake, that New York is under attack by unknown Creatures. This forces our Party Goers out onto the streets where all hell is breaking loose.

Not long after being out in the open and in the direct path of the attack and all of the destruction. Our group of friends decide to go underground and into the subway tunnels. Here things go from Bad to Worse, when they are attacked by smaller versions of the creatures.

When they manage to escape this attack, they appear to be safe when they run into a military unit, also below in the tunnels looking for survivors and taking care of the injured. However this safety is short lived when members of the medical staff discover that one of the group (Marlena) has been bitten by one of the creatures. She is then taken off to points unknown, and the other three members of the group are escorted out of the tunnels and are once again out on the streets in the path of devastation.

From this point on, the movie unfortunately also goes from bad to worse. Once again on the streets, we get several scenes started, but they never get finished. It leaves you with a sense of wondering what is really going on. And where the hell is this movie going. Why are the creatures here, and what do they want. None of these questions ever get answered. And boom the movie ends. My mouth was just agape and i was left wondering wtf.

The Actors as a whole, I feel did a good job with what they had to work with. Lizzy Caplan (Marlena) was nominated and won a Saturn Award for best supporting Actress. However the Writers and the Director, could have done a much better job in support of this fairly talented, young acting crew. i'm glad it only had an 84 minute running time. As i don't feel i could have endured much more. And despite the efforts of the actors to try to make this a good film. I am going to have to give this one a Thumb Down.
