Nightmare On Chat Street was founded by Blair Jett (chat name Blair Witch) on Wednesday October 19, 2005 on the Mcommunity.biz mobile community, based in Hagen, Germany. 

Our address was nightmareonchatstreet.mcommunity.biz.

In March of 2006 Mcommunity changed it`s name to Peperonity.com & our address became

nightmareonchatstreet.peperonity.com.

We went from a meager no frills chat site to an online community with outstanding features when we launched our new chat & forums through another server on July 25, 2007. We linked the seperate chat & forums to our Peperonity.com site so it would seem like one site & create less confusion for some people.

On March 8, 2008, we replaced our Peperonity portion of the site with an all new server & our address became `nocs.hauntedwap.co.uk`. 

The hauntedwap portion was actually another version of this site for mobile devices, but we closed the Haunted Wap portion in August 2009. 

On March 15, 2008, we launched NightmareOnChatStreet.Com, which is what your viewing now.

This site has been carefully crafted over time & we`re proud to feature movies, television shows, music videos, and of course we cannot forget our chat & forums.

Nightmare On Chat Street is doing quite well for an independantly owned & operated site, but we don`t have the monetary resources to promote our site like the big corporate owned online communities. But this also has it`s advantages too because we have a top of the line professional looking site, but we managed to keep our up close & personal personna in the process.

Although we do occassionally promote our site through paid advertising when possible, we mostly rely on promotional campaigns, invitations, & word of mouth advertising. We have more features than most of these big online communities, but we still maintain our personal "mom & pop" feel & atmosphere.

We welcome you to a small chat site with big chat site features & PLEASE spread the word & invite your friends.

Operating a web site like this takes more than just hard work & dedication, it takes money.

Fortunately we have our operating budget here at NOCS down to bare bones minimum, but maintenance & content do cost money.

Effective December 2009, NOCS is going through a transition process. This includes changes in staff, downsizing of our chat & forums, & taking Nightmare On Chat Street in a new direction. Contrary to what you may be thinking, we are NOT closing down, but recent chain of events has caused us the challenge of taking the site in a new direction.
